Connect: UOW Magazine

The November 2014 issue of CONNECT:UOW has a strong focus on UOW's world-class research. Global Challenges Director Professor Chris Gibson's Opinion column talks about the importance of risk in generating quality research, while other research topics range from law to medicine to sustainable fisheries and innovative steel products. This issue also celebrates the opening of the Sustainable Buildings Research Centre and the contribution of Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor John Patterson, who is retiring after 40 years of dedicated service to the institution.
