Power Quality Centre's strong involvement with prize-winning paper

The University of Wollongong's Power Quality Centre has scored a major kudos at a recent national forum.

Professor Vic Gosbell and Dr Vic Smith attended the Electric Energy Society of Australia annual conference held in Sydney. It is the main annual forum within Australia for the distribution (and to some extent the transmission) industry.

At the conference dinner, the prize-winning paper was announced as "New Concepts for A Voltage Sag Immunity Standard", by Professor Gosbell, David Sweeting who is one of the centre's visiting professors and Robert Barr who is well known in the industry because of the work he is doing with the centre on power quality monitoring.

Professor Gosbell and Robert Barr won the same prize last year.
