Postgraduate research on display
Oct 10, 2003
The University of Wollongong's postgraduate research strength went on public display on Thursday (October 9) at the bi-annual Student Research Day. More than 150 PhD researchers from all nine Faculties presented their projects ranging from developing treatments for prostate cancer, testing children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and risk profiling in superannuation investment to coastal wetlands management. The Student Research Day gave UOW's postgraduate students the opportunity to showcase their world-class research to the University and wider community, including potential employers and the University's industry partners. It also gave potential postgraduate students the chance to see the range of opportunities available in postgraduate research. The PhD students produced posters about their research that were on display in the University Hall, while the students were also on hand to explain their projects.
