Coach of the year award -- a first for university sports club

The Assistant Director at the University of Wollongong's Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC), Mr Daniel McGoldrick, (pictured) was recently awarded the Soccer Illawarra "Conference League - Coach of the Year" for 2003. He was selected from 15 coaches which was narrowed down to three nominees on the award night. It is understood to be the first time that a university sports club has had such an award bestowed on one of its coaches. Daniel said it was great recognition for the Sports Association, URAC and the University in general.
