Emeritus Professor Howard Worner was one of the recent recipients
of a Centenary Medal issued by the Federal Government.
The presentation
ceremony was appropriately held at the Worner Collection display area
in the Faculty of Science foyer.
Professor Worner, aged 88, was last
year the first Australian to win the Benjamin F.Fairless Award - the
most prestigious award given out
by the international steel industry.
