Transit of Venus attracts hundreds to Science Centre
Jun 15, 2004
Science Centre director Glen Moore said it was a "party-like atmosphere" at the Science Centre for the transit of Venus on June 8.
Hundreds of people flocked to the centre to witness the astronomical event of the planet Venus crossing the sun's face -- an event that hasn't been seen in 122 years.
People later packed into the planetarium to watch presentations about the transit.
