The women’s UOW hockey club claimed their second consecutive title recently beating Wests 3-1.
The men’s hockey club also made it to the grand final but lost 1-3 to Albion Park. It was the first time in 20 years that both teams have featured in the grand final.
And the UOW women’s soccer team beat Woonona in the grand final 3-0. This adds to their State Cup victory earlier this season and leads into the NSW Champion of Champions competition.
The University of Wollongong Rugby Club also has had an outstanding season in 2005 culminating in the club's first ever club championship and a first grade grand final appearance looming -- the first time since 1981.
