An academic who is regarded as Australia's leading economist presented a public lecture at the University of Wollongong today (26 October).

Professor Bob Gregory from the Research School of Social Sciences at the Australian National University presented the third Annual Economics and Social Policy Public Lecture.

The title of his address was: “When Can Australia's Two Million Welfare Recipients Expect to Find Jobs?” Professor Gregory is regarded by many of his peers as Australia's leading economist. He has had a distinguished career covering a range of public policy issues.
