UOW Library strikes gold

The University of Wollongong Library has won an Investors in People Gold Award in the category 'Best IiP Government Agency or Institution'.

The awards acknowledge the 'best in class' organisations already recognised as Investors in People.

The University Librarian, Ms Felicity McGregor, said the Library has had an ongoing commitment to improving people management - an essential part of delivering quality services to the University community.

Investors in People is an internationally accepted standard concerned with achieving best practice in the management and development of people to deliver organisational goals, together with a framework for ongoing evaluation and improvement.

Ms McGregor officially received the award from the CEO of NCS International, Ms Sue Chapman, last week (25 November). NCS International is one of Australia's largest and most experienced third-party certification bodies.
