Moss Vale holds graduations celebrations

The inaugural graduation celebration for students at Moss Vale Education Centre was held recently which included all graduating students from 2005 and 2006. The students graduated with a range of degrees including the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business Administration. Among those in attendance was Member for Southern Highlands, Peta Seaton; Liberal candidate for Goulburn, Pru Goward; the Mayor of Wingecarribee Council, Gordon Lewis; the University’s Academic Registrar, Dr David Christie; and the Moss Vale Education Centre Manager, Sonia Sense. Moss Vale Education Centre was established in 2002 starting with 24 students and there are now about 100. The first honours student was also in attendance on Wednesday. This year the University of Wollongong began construction of a new purpose-built facility for students which will be ready for occupation in Autumn session 2007. Course offerings will be expanded in 2007 with the introduction of postgraduate studies in Management.
