Shoalhaven Campus conducts graduation celebration

A graduation celebration was held at UOW's Shoalhaven Campus in Nowra on December 18.

Thirty four students participated in the ceremony. Nine were awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree, six were awarded a Bachelor of Commerce degree and 18 graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Education.

The Shoalhaven Campus Graduate Diploma of Education program Head, Associate Professor Brian Cambourne, who was recently awarded the prestigious Carrick Award for Australian University Teaching at Parliament House in Canberra, was also awarded a Shoalhaven Campus Certificate of Appreciation.

It was in recognition of his role in establishing the Graduate Diploma of Education program at the Shoalhaven Campus.

About 250 guests attended the ceremony. The Occasional Address was delivered by the Federal Member for Gilmore, Ms Joanna Gash.

 

 

Associate Professor Brian Cambourne was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Shoalhaven Campus in recognition of his key role in establishing the Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary) program at the Shoalhaven Campus

Fran Tyler, who graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Primary) from the Shoalhaven Campus, gave the ‘Response on Behalf of Students’ speech
