UOW hosts networking evening for CPA Australia

The University of Wollongong hosted a networking evening for Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) Australia, Illawarra Branch, on 11 July.
The speaker for the event was Drew Fenton from Fenton Green Melbourne who addressed the topic, "Insurance for the Modern Professional -- Professional Indemnity Risk Management and Education".
Dr Anne Abraham, a Senior Lecturer in UOW's School of Accounting and Finance, is Chair of the Illawarra Branch of CPA Australia and convened the session at UOW.
The Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Professor Shirley Leitch, welcomed those attending the networking evening.
Meanwhile, in her role as Chair of the Illawarra Branch of CPA Australia, Dr Abraham attended the launch of the 2007 Integral Energy Illawarra Business Awards hosted by the Illawarra Business Chamber.
There will be 18 award categories this year plus the overall "Illawarra Business of the Year" award. The Illawarra Business Chamber is expecting 1,000 people at the awards gala dinner which will be held on Friday 16 November.
