Weerona College students fast to aid World Vision

17 Sep 2007 | Bernie Goldie

Thirty six students at Weerona College have just finished participating in the 2007 40 Hour Famine.

The official date of the appeal was mid August but the students held over their participation until mid September.

They hope to raise at least $1,000 for World Vision. Weerona students have sponsored two World Vision children for the past four years and saw the 40 Hour Famine as a way to raise extra support.

Organised by the Academic and Community Student Development Assistant, Tim Roach, the participants began their fast following Weerona's Session 2 International Food Night.
