Creative Arts students bare all for Nude Auction
Local visual artists and graphic designers participated in a live nude art auction this week (Wednesday 3 October) – but not that kind of nude.
They all unveiled an eclectic range of art including works on paper, paintings, prints, sculpture, photography and design.
The University of Wollongong’s graduating third year Bachelor of Creative Arts, Visual Arts and Graphic Design students held the nude auction in order to raise funds for the end of year student graduation exhibition titled Positions Vacant.
The auction was a rare opportunity for people to purchase significant artists’ work at fantastic prices.
It featured a range of unique and authentic works by established, emerging and student artists and designers.
This year’s auction was conducted by radio personality, Nick Rheinberger, from ABC Illawarra.
