Library extension project edges closer to completion
18 Oct 2007 | Bernie Goldie
The UOW Library extension project is edging closer to completion and the campus community is already starting to enjoy the benefits.
The new entrance and northern wing of the extension are now open for business, revealing the bigger, brighter face of the Library building.
Many new features are now available to Library users from the attractive open foyer including improved service desks and additional express computers.
Computers and printing and photocopying services remain available on all floors of the Library. These will be supplemented over the coming months as new areas are furnished and made available.
Library users can look forward to increased and improved services throughout the building encompassing more technology, lighter and more comfortable study areas and a range of learning spaces to suit all needs from quiet study to relaxed reading and group work.
The final stage of the extension project involves the refurbishment of the ground level central area. This will take place over the next two months and allow the project to be finalised for the start of the Autumn Session, February 2008.
