Research commercialisation and globalisation of UOW on agenda for visiting Chinese delegates

The University of Wollongong yesterday (25 October) hosted a delegation of 26 Chinese universities Vice Presidents and Chairmen of University Committees.
The group was also joined by representatives from the Ministry of Education, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the State Administration of Foreign Experts.
The party has been visiting major universities in Australia organised through the Australia China Culture and Education Exchange Centre.
The focus of the tour to Wollongong was the commercialisation of research and the globalisation of UOW. The visitors were also presented with an overview of teaching and learning at UOW.
Among those welcoming the visitors were senior members of the UOW executive together with eight officers of the Ministry of Public Security, People’s Republic of China, who are students at the Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention.
