Jenny Vatovec’s services acknowledged by Education Minister

The Professional Teachers Council has honoured Jenny Vatovec who has been working with UOW’s Faculty of Education this year.
Jenny was nominated by the NSW Personal Development, Health and Physical Education Teachers’ Association (PDHPETA) for the award of "Outstanding Professional Service Award in PDHPE".
The NSW Minister for Education and Training, John Della Bosca, recently presented the award to Jenny.
The award was in recognition of her significant and continuous contribution to the leadership and support of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education teachers and education in NSW through the PDHPE Teachers’ Association as the Treasurer of the PDHPETA.
As well, Jenny has written material for, and presented at, HSC study days for students and hosted professional development workshops at annual conferences.
The Director of UOW’s Physical and Health Education Program, Dr Gregg Rowland, said UOW was most fortunate that Jenny was able to be a part of the Faculty for the year.
“She made a fantastic contribution to the Physical and Health Education Program,” Dr Rowland said.
