UOW launches Australasian Computer Science Week

An annual international forum exploring research, development and novel applications in computer science is being held at the University of Wollongong this week (Tuesday 22 – Friday 25 January).
The Australasian Computer Science Week was officially launched today in the McKinnon Building foyer.
The event will attract about 250 guests and participants from Switzerland, New Zealand, Taiwan, Japan, Finland, Czech Republic, Norway, Sweden, United States, Canada, Thailand, Hong Kong, Israel, Spain and Australia.
A range of mini-conferences will take place during the week that will cover topics including artificial intelligence, grid computing, computer education, health data and knowledge management, conceptual modelling, computer and network security, user interfaces, databases, digital libraries and privacy enhancing technologies.
The conferences will include submissions that describe innovations and research in computer science in its various aspects.
