Visiting Professor presents chemistry course

Professor Robert Glaser from Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel visited the University of Wollongong recently to present a series of short courses in the School of Chemistry.

Professor Glaser is an expert in structural medicinal chemistry.

His presentations were focused on advanced stereochemistry and covered a range of topics including relationships between geometrical figures, molecular structure, special positions of symmetry, cogwheeling circuits, crystallography, x-ray structures and hyrdrogen-bonds.

A range of UOW chemistry students were able to attend the week-long series of courses to gain information on a range of special science topics.
