Commerce launches new eLearning module
25 Feb 2008 | Bernie Goldie
The Faculty of Commerce recently held a launch for the “Commerce eLearning Module (CeLM): Avoiding Unintentional Plagiarism and Using Evidence Effectively in Assessments”.
CeLM is a compulsory eLearning module introduced by Commerce as the cornerstone of its Plagiarism Prevention Policy.
The faculty has introduced CeLM to provide Commerce students with an orientation to the strategies and resources that will assist in avoiding problems related to plagiarism as they develop their capacity to select and integrate evidence into arguments and reference correctly.
CeLM is the first of its kind within the faculty and is compulsory for students starting this year undertaking Accounting 1a, Marketing Principles, Introduction to Management, Quantitative Methods1, Marketing management and Accounting Fundamentals for Professionals.
It is the result of a creative partnership and collaboration between Commerce, Learning Development and the Centre for Educational Development and Interactive Resources (CEDIR).
