A theatre company formed by University of Wollongong Creative Arts students will stage the award-winning play A Grave Affair at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre this week.
Written by Danny Condon, who is a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Performance) graduate from UOW, A Grave Affair swept the awards at the 2006 Unhinged Short Play Festival. It won Best Writer, Best Director, Audience Choice and Overall Winner.
The play is a “classic whodunit with a satirical sting” which captivated audiences at the Unhinged Festival with its sharp humour, distinctive music and quirky narrative.
The production will be staged at the IPAC for three nights from Thursday (3 April).
It marks the first full-length locally-produced play staged by the So Popera theatre company, which has been formed by UOW graduates to produce original music and theatre.
