e-Learning Council conducts business meeting at UOW

UOW Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gerard Sutton, recently welcomed members of the Australasian Council on Open, Distance and e-Learning (ACODE) to Wollongong for a two-day business meeting.

The theme of the workshop was "Exploring Open Source for e-Learning." 

Council members and others from the academic and IT community attended the presentations to share cases of universities who have implemented open-source solutions for eLearning.

Acting ACODE President and Australia’s representative on the Blackboard Advisory Board, Professor Alan Farley, discussed what Blackboard has revealed about its future direction. Blackboard is a leading provider of e-Education solutions.
