Woolyungah conducts special research seminar

The Woolyungah Indigenous Centre today (April 16) presented a special research seminar with Professor Martin Nakata from the University of Technology, Sydney, speaking on the story behind his recent book entitled Disciplining the Savages: Savaging the Disciplines.
The lunchtime seminar was conducted in the Communications Building.
Professor Nicholas Cage of the University of Cambridge described the book as “the most focused and sustained Indigenous critique of anthropological knowledge yet published”.
Professor Cage said it was a must-read for anyone concerned with the troubled interplay of Indigenous issues and academic institutions today.
