Friendship program welcomes international students

The University of Wollongong’s International Friendship Program recently launched its 2008 activities with a welcome supper for international students.

The IFP promotes cross-cultural friendship between members of the Wollongong community and UOW’s international students, and gives students a friendly contact with local residents.

Students are matched one on one with local volunteer “friendship partners”.

IFP is one of the most popular programs run by UOW’s Illawarra Committee for International Students (ICIS), now in its 23^rd year.
