A new journal has been launched that addresses security issues and
provides security solutions to the Internet and computer systems.
Associate Professor Yi Mu, Co-director of UOW's Centre for Computer and
Information Security Research, has announced the publication of the
inaugural issue of International Journal of Applied Cryptography
(IJACT).
IJACT consists of a strong editorial board with Professor Mu and
Professor David Pointchavel (ENS-DI, France) as editors-in-chief along with 20 internationally reputable researchers as board members.
Professor Mu said the journal aims to introduce new ground between cryptographic theory and applications.
"It proposes -- and fosters -- discussion on cryptographic algorithms and protocols that are directly applicable," he said.
The objectives of IJACT are to establish an international forum and promote applicable research in cryptography.
Professor Mu said the journal would serve as a bridge between
cryptographers and security engineers.
"IJACT provides a vehicle to help academics, researchers and engineers working in the fields of cryptography and information security, to disseminate information and to learn from each other's work.
The journal includes, but not limited to, the following topics:
anonymity, authentication, broadcast encryption, ciphers, cryptanalysis, data security digital cash, digital signatures, e-auction, e-commerce, encryption, e-gambling, e-voting, key distribution, identification, identity-based cryptography, and online fraud and web security.
