Commerce students assist in mock interviews for community outreach program

Kanahooka High School students have picked up some handy hints for when they enter the competitive job market.
Four University of Wollongong commerce students recently assisted the Year 10 high school students at their annual ‘Job Interview Day’.
Anne Phelan from Kanahooka High said the mock interview sessions, held in the school library, helped students develop such areas as their interview skills, resumé, portfolio and presentation skills.
The UOW students took on the role of interviewers along with representatives from a range of organisations including job network providers, Wollongong City Council, Department of Education and Training and TAFE.
