The Faculty of Commerce held it’s annual Dean’s Merit Awards ceremony on Monday (August 4).
Dean’s Merit lists are compiled at the end of each year and include the top 5% of undergraduate students. At the Commerce ceremony, 126 students were recognised for their achievements.
James Bishop, who is studying a Bachelor of Commerce (Dean’s Scholar), was recognised as the highest achieving undergraduate student and was placed at the top of the Dean’s Merit List.
Faculty Executive Manager, Theresa Hoynes said that it is an honour for students to be recognised on the Dean’s Merit List.
“The event on Monday was a recognition and celebration of our students exceptional achievement,” she said.
“The Faculty of Commerce provides a great environment to research, teach and learn commerce and the event is a celebration of this.”
Dean of Commerce, Shirley Leitch hosts the event and the Faculty’s senior executive and key academics also attended.
All Dean’s Merit List students are listed on the Faculty website.
