Informatics academic wins further accolade
A Senior Lecturer from UOW's School of Information Systems and Technology, Dr Byron Keating, has been awarded an Outstanding Doctoral Research Award from Emerald Publishing and the European Foundation for Management Development for his PhD.
Emerald Publishing Business Manager, Andrea Gilbey, presented a certificate to Dr Keating during a special visit to Wollongong today (29 April).
Dr Keating's PhD focused on customer relationship management in a multichannel service context.
Last year, Dr Keating was the recipient of two prestigious external awards -- an Endeavour Research Fellowship and an Australian Development Research Award.
These competitive research awards provide support for Dr Keating to investigate ethical business practices in different service supply chains in the Asia Pacific.
This latest award further recognises the quality of Dr Keating's doctoral work. In late 2007, Dr Keating received the best dissertation award from the International Consortium for Electronic Commerce.
