Arts welcomes new Study Abroad and Exchange students

The Faculty of Arts this week held a welcome lunch for Study Abroad and Exchange students who will be taking Arts subjects during their time at UOW.

The lunch provided them with the chance to meet academic and support staff in an informal setting and also to get to know domestic students.

Arts Faculty Dean's Scholars and students from the Faculty of Arts Student and Staff Association (FASSA) were invited to the lunch as well.

About 100 students from a diverse range of countries, including the USA, Japan, Korea, Germany, Malaysia and Hong Kong attended the lunch and all who were there were given a Faculty of Arts signature t-shirt.

Students were welcomed to the faculty by the dean, Professor Wenche Ommundsen, and they were also treated to an entertaining lecture by Dr Glenn Mitchell.
