New Shoalhaven Campus celebrates its first anniversary

The University of Wollongong is now celebrating one year of operations in
its new location at West Nowra, and enrolments are currently being accepted
for year two.
Whether potential students have just finished Year 12, or have not studied for
a while, the University is offering a range of degrees at its modern campus.
The Shoalhaven site is part of a commitment by the University of Wollongong
to provide enhanced education opportunities for residents of the Shoalhaven
and South Coast. In 2000 the University also opened education facilities in
Batemans Bay and Bega.
Many local students are now entering the second year of study at these new facilities.
The response from the first intake has been overwhelmingly positive as students
enjoy the advantages of a local education provided by Australias University
of the Year for 2000-2001.
Local tutors, flexible timetables, and a range of support services are features
of an education at the Shoalhaven Campus. Enrolments are being taken now for
