Canadian High Commissioner to visit university's information day

The University
of Wollongong will host a Canadian Information Day tomorrow (Thursday 2 August),
that will feature as guest of honour the newly-appointed Canadian High Commissioner,
His Excellency Jean Fournier.
The Information Day will involve presentations and information booths on Canadian
Studies Grants and on general study opportunities in Canada through the University's
Study Abroad Office.
Two members of the University of Wollongong have been awarded International
Council of Canadian Studies grants to do research in Canada, one of whom will
be in attendance.
The event has been organised by the Centre for Canadian-Australian Studies in
conjunction with the University's Study Abroad Office and the Canadian High
Commission.
Note: The
best photo/filming opportunities would be from 11.30am to 12.30pm in the foyer
of the McKinnon Building (Building 67) where the Study Abroad Office and the
Canadian High Commission will have information booths set up. The High Commissioner
himself can only be available for photographs/filming between 1.15pm to 2.30pm
in the McKinnon Bldg Dining Room where he, and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor
Gerard Sutton, will also be involved in the presentation of Canadian Studies
awards.
