University a finalist for national women's employer award

The University of Wollongong is the only university in Australia and one of five finalists in the Leading Organisation category (over 500 employees) for the Women's Employer of the Year award.

The other finalists include IBM and Southcorp Wines.

Federal Employment Minister, Mr Tony Abbott, will today (Wednesday 10 October) announce UOW as the winner of the Employer of Choice for Women award before announcing the national title.

Media please note: UOW's Pro Vice-Chancellor (Operations), Professor John Patterson, will accept the award from Mr Abbott at the ceremony to be held at Darling Harbour at midday, 10 October.
