The School of Information
Technology and Computer Science will conduct its Research Students' Conference
at Wollongong's Novotel Hotel tomorrow, Thursday 22 November.
The Research Students' Conference provides a showcase of the latest research
from honours to PhD students. PhD topics include "Measuring online service
quality in business to business trade on the internet"; "risk assessment
of electronic medical record systems"; "digital watermarking"
and "IT security policy in Australian universities".
Among the conference speakers will be Professor Brian Corbitt, Head of the School
of Management Information Systems at Deakin University whose research interests
include e-commerce and e-business; and Professor Jennifer Seberry, Director
of the Centre for Computer Security Research at the University of Wollongong.
Over 40 poster presentations will be available covering topics as diverse as
wireless security, e-business in the financial services industry, mobile phones
and health, and the universal service obligation in rural Australia.
Media note: The opening will take place at 8.45am and a morning tea break
will be held from 10.40am to 11.10am for photo/filming opportunities at the
Novotel.
