to host top Technology Schools Conference

The University
of Wollongong is hosting Australia's premier "hands-on" education and technology
conference from Monday 3 December to Thursday 6 December 2001.
The 13th Annual
Innovative Technology Schools Conference (ITSC) is a collaboration of UOW's
Faculty of Education and Apple Computer Australia The conference focuses on
supporting the creative, innovate and collaborative uses of technology in the
learning environment. It provides hands-on training for those people who facilitate
professional development and teach training and tips on how to use technology
more effectively in the classroom.
The conference
also includes Apple's Certification Program, Show and Tell sessions, and keynote
addresses from interstate and international guests including Independent Education
Consultant, Julia Atkin; Head Technologist for Apple Computer Australia, David
Dwyer and Director of Education and Library Technology from the Grossmont School
District in the USA, Don Henderson. More than 300 delegates will attend the
four-day conference at UOW, including school principals and executive staff.
