'Town
and gown' business networking party
26 September 2001
A 'Town and Gown" Cocktail Networking Party will be held tomorrow evening
(Thursday 27 September) at the University of Wollongong.
The annual event celebrates and recognises the close links that the Graduate School
of Business and Professional Development has made with the Illawarra business
sector.
The school's dean, Professor John Glynn, will report on another outstanding year
of success for their students and business partnerships.
Students can offer hands-on research or undertake work-placed assignments either
as part of their program of study or as part of a more general work experience
opportunity.
Professor Glynn said employers were also keen to meet graduating business students
interested in staying on and following a career in the Illawarra.
Among the organisations supporting the school's annual academic awards are Kells
the Lawyers, the Illawarra Connection, Southern Pathology, the Illawarra Regional
Information Service, the Illawarra Business Chamber and the Faculty of Commerce
Alumni Chapter.
Time and venue: From 6pm to 9pm in the University Hall.
For further information contact Lynell Ratcliffe on 4221 4067.
