Annual town and gown networking party

The Graduate School of Business and Professional Development will conduct its annual Town and Gown Cocktail Networking Party tomorrow (Wednesday, 23 October) between 6-9pm at the Wollongong City Gallery.

This annual event celebrates and recognises the very close links that the School has developed with the Illawarra Business Community. Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Professor John Glynn, will report on yet another outstanding year of success for their students and business partnerships.

This event is an important networking opportunity for students and local employers in terms of students being able to offer hands-on research or undertake work placed assignments either as part of their program of study or as part of a more general work experience opportunity.

Employers are also keen to meet graduating business students interested in staying on and pursuing a career in the Illawarra. As in previous years, a number of Illawarra organisations support the School's annual academic awards. These organisations include Kells the Lawyers, The Illawarra Connection, the Illawarra Regional Information Service, the Illawarra Business Chamber, Faculty of Commerce Alumni Chapter and Southern Pathology.
