Iranian students visit for intensive course

Twenty two students from the Petroleum University of Technology (PUT) in Iran will start a 10-day intensive course through the University of Wollongong’s Graduate School of Business and Professional Development starting from Monday 19 September.

As part of their Cross Cultural Management course, the students will be undertaking tours of BlueScope Steel and the Nan Tien Temple.

The students are taught in Iran at PUT through an offshore program run through the University of Wollongong in Dubai.

The Cross Cultural Management course in Wollongong is taught and co-ordinated by Matt Ngui and Dr Mario Fernando of UOW’s School of Management and Marketing and Dr George Kriflik from the Graduate School of Business and Professional Development.

Media please note: An informal “welcome to UOW” lunch has been organised for the group on Monday 19 September at noon in Room 130, Building 40 (Commerce Building). Among those attending the lunch will be the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Rob Castle; the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Professor John Glynn; and the Director of the Graduate School of Business and Professional Development, Professor Mary Barrett.
