UOW launches new health research centre

The University of Wollongong will launch its new Centre for Health Initiatives (CHI) research institute on Thursday (24 May). The Centre for Health Initiatives brings together some of the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences’ key research teams in six main streams of research, each co-ordinated by a stream leader. The research streams and team leaders are: Initiatives in Social Marketing – Associate Professor Sandra Jones Initiatives in Media and Health – Associate Professor Sandra Jones Initiatives in Aged and Dementia Care – Associate Professor Victoria Traynor Initiatives in Health Workforce Change and Leadership – Professor Patrick Crookes Initiatives in Individual Behaviour Change – Professor Don Iverson Initiatives in Health Professional Education Research – Associate Professor Nicky Hudson MEDIA INVITATION: The media are invited to attend the CHI launch at 4.30pm on Thursday, 24 May at Function Room 3 in the UniCentre at the University of Wollongong.
