Calling all southern Sydney high school students . . .
Jun 18, 2007
More than a third of the students currently studying at the University of Wollongong (UOW) come from the southern suburbs of Sydney. With that in mind, the University is tonight (Monday 18 June) conducting a special information evening for all Year 7-10 high school students in the southern Sydney region. The intent of the information evening is to provide an opportunity for students and their parents to gain critical information regarding subject selection, UAI, HSC scaling and the differences between school and university. More importantly, the evening provides the opportunity for prospective students to speak with faculty representatives and start planning for their future. This event is aimed at being informative and personalised particularly for parents who need to know this information so they can better assist their child. Parents have significant influence of where their son or daughter chooses to attend university, so this event provides UOW with the ability to interact with this key group. All faculties will be attending as well as Wollongong College Australia (WCA) and TAFE. Venue: Tradies, Manchester Rd Gymea (Free parking) Time: 6pm-8pm, Monday 18 June Further information: For further enquiries contact Michelle Stojanovski on (02) 4221 4760 or 0410 621897 (m).
