The new Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) at the University of Wollongong will be visiting Wollongong on Monday 16 July.
Professor Elizabeth Farmer from Flinders University in Adelaide will be officially taking up her new post in January next year. She will be the first female general practitioner to become a dean of a medical school in Australia.
Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Patterson, praised the Foundation Dean of the GSM, Professor John Hogg, for his outstanding contribution in the establishment of the school and said that Professor Hogg would continue to make a major contribution as the school develops.
Professor Farmer and Professor Hogg will be available for interviews from 2pm to 3pm at the GSM. Please go to the reception desk located near the top of the stairs on the first floor of the GSM.
