From shower water saver to interactive audio language learning website

A showcase of new age, technology-driven student products and projects will on be display tomorrow (Friday 26 October) when the University of Wollongong’s School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering hosts its 10th Annual Trade Fair.
The projects are from second and third year Bachelor of Engineering students enrolled in Engineering Design and Management, as well as second year students enrolled in the Bachelor of Internet Science and Technology.
Projects fall into the categories of ‘Environmentally Sustainable Australia’, ‘Promoting and Maintaining Good Health’ to ‘Educational Aids and Tools’.
The wide variety of student inventions will include a power saver, UV tester, shower water saver, room ergonomics and power monitor, interactive audio language learning website, automated sprinkler intelligence system, interactive internet controlled toy combat system, hydrosmart water management system and intelligent irrigation system.
Prizes are being donated by BlueScope Steel, Tyree Holdings Pty Ltd, Spruson&Ferguson, Faculty of Informatics and the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering.
