International conference on provable security

International researchers from the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Australia will present papers on provable security which is an important research area in cryptography.
Cryptography involves the study of hiding information – for example the security of ATM cards and computer passwords.
The conference’s opening address will be presented by UOW’s Director of Telecommunications and Information Technology Research Institute (TITR) and Head of the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Professor Philip Ogunbona.
Conference organisers say that “Provsec – 2007” will provide a platform for researchers, scholars and practitioners to exchange new ideas for solving various problems in the provable security area.
Conference dates: Thursday 1 November and Friday 2 November
Venue: Communication Building (Bldg 20) Room 1.
