Launch of first Master of Retail Management degree

The national retail industry is poised to receive a major education boost with the launch of the first Master of Retail Management degree in Australia.
The University of Wollongong’s Graduate School of Business will officially launch the degree at 5.30pm on Monday 16 June at its Sydney Business School (Level 14, 175 Liverpool Street, Sydney).
The Sydney Business School will also be offering a Graduate Certificate in Retail Management.
Business Manager for UOW’s Graduate School of Business, Ms Sue Mathews, said that the degree has been developed in order to advance the Australian retail industry standards to a world level.
She said the degree would tackle the challenges that retailers increasingly face today.
Ms Mathews said the degree would suit individuals now involved in retail and it could be structured to meet the specific needs of retail organisations.
