UOW hosts computer security conference

Researchers in computer security and cryptography will be participating in the 13th Australasian Conference on Information Security and Privacy (ACISP2008) to be held at the University of Wollongong from Monday 7 July to Wednesday 9 July.
ACISP 2008 is organised by the Centre for Computer and Information Security Research (CCISR). The CCISR works within the parameters of the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
The conference will be opened by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Informatics, Associate Professor Graham Williams.
It will include participants from the US, France, Canada, UK, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Warsaw, India, Finland and China.
The three featured speakers are:
• Dr Xavier Boyen from Voltage (USA) -- 7 July
• Professor Josef Pieprzyk from Macquarie University -- 8 July
• Mr Nigel Phair from the Australian High Tech Crime Centre (Canberra) and UOW’s Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention -- 9 July
