Interested in a career in film? – Sydney’s International Film School opens its doors
Prospective students for the International Film School Sydney (IFSS) are welcome to attend a hands-on demonstration open day at the IFSS on Saturday 20 June.
The open day will provide opportunities for prospective students to review draft film scripts, see personalised demonstrations of film equipment or just take time out to meet teachers and students. It will showcase the newly- refurbished interiors, cutting edge technology and the industry’s most advanced equipment -- specifically, the latest in digital film technology, the Red One camera.
The open day coincides with the news that International Film School Sydney has been approved as a VET provider under the VET FEE-HELP Assistance Scheme and will be able to offer VET FEE-HELP assistance to ongoing and new students from July 2009.
The ‘Fee Help’ will be for students wanting to study for the Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media – a two-year full-time course in Directing, Screenwriting, Producing and Cinematography.
The International Film School Sydney is run by the ITC Group of Companies linked to the University of Wollongong.
Open Day date and time: 11am to 3pm, Saturday 20 June
Where: 27 Rosebery Avenue, Rosebery, Sydney
This will be followed by a student film night on Wednesday 29 July from 6pm at the Chauvel Cinema, Paddington Town Hall, corner of Oxford St and Oatley Rd Paddington.
For more information about either event contact Duncan Thompson on (02) 9663 3789.
