Welcome for newly-enrolled Indian students
About 50 Indian students are expected to attend a special student welcome to Wollongong today aimed at educating them about studying and living in Australia.
Key to their safe stay in Australia is education, according to Ramya Acharya, who is UOW’s Marketing and Admissions Officer (India). She will be the principal speaker at today’s event.
A seminar will be conducted at 12.30pm followed by a lunch in the foyer of Building 1 (Materials Engineering) – near Kids’ Uni child care centre and the UniCentre carpark. Photos and filming can be undertaken when the Indian students gather for lunch at 1.30pm.
It is the first time such an information session has been held exclusively for Indian students.
