It’s on your bikes for ‘Ride to Work Day’

It’s the chance to start your day another way or help others who want to ride for the first time as part of the overall National Ride to Work Day tomorrow (Wednesday 14 October).

The day is aimed at encouraging workers to feel good and have fun and at the same time experience the health, financial and environmental benefits of riding.

And from 7.30am tomorrow, UOW will host a community breakfast for riders on the McKinnon Lawn near Building 67. There will also be a host of activities including competitions, prizes, stalls, a bike maintenance bay provided by Spearman’s Cycles and a massage stall courtesy of the University Recreation and Aquatic Centre (URAC).

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Operations), Professor John Patterson, this year has come on board as Ambassador of the event and will be riding along with staff on the day.
