CHSD spreads some Christmas cheer to a local family
The Centre for Health Service Development (CHSD) decided that they would support their local community this Christmas by helping a family through Barnardos.
Staff donated food, clothing and toys, as well as $10 each, to support a family with five children of primary school age to have a festive and joyful Christmas.
Elizabeth Cuthbert, Julie De Clouet and Jodie Tazelaar-Molinia led the charge in encouraging staff to contribute, organising the Christmas gift shopping, and liaising with Barnardos to ensure that the contribution made would specifically address the interests and needs of each member of this family.
The CHSD staff said they encouraged others in the University to consider such a scheme next year to help bring some Christmas cheer to local families who are finding it tough at these times.
